Private Invite — Thanks for Being Curious

We Sent This to You on Purpose.

Take a look. No pressure — and no application.

See What We've Been Building →

Hello there, I'm Florida Man Josh, owner and founder of Florida Man Roleplay. If this link made it to you, it wasn't luck and it wasn't a mailing list. We only send a handful of these out, and every single one goes to a specific person that somebody here looked at and said, "yeah — they'd get it."

So why you? It's different for everyone, but it always comes down to the same few things. Sometimes it's content you've put out that showed the kind of creativity we build whole sessions around. Sometimes it's the games and communities you clearly enjoy and the way you carry yourself in them. And sometimes it's simply being an adult who obviously loves this hobby but seems to have outgrown the chaos of big public servers. Nothing weird — nobody's digging through your life. It's just that when you've spent enough years in this hobby, you start to notice the people who'd fit. Whatever it was for you, someone here noticed it, and that's the only reason this page exists in your hands.

A little about me, so you know who's talking: I grew up on the classic era of story-first roleplay videos — the slow, funny, character-driven stuff where a simple traffic stop could spiral into twenty minutes of gold. Years later I got into FiveM myself and found out that style barely existed in practice. Most public servers were grind, nonstop lights, or shootouts on repeat. I just liked telling stories with people. So I did the slightly insane thing and built my own server from scratch — FMRP, rooted in the wild, beautiful Pinellas County, Florida, where I was born and raised.

We launched publicly in summer 2024 and it grew faster than I ever expected — packed nights, 30+ civs, and some of the best RP memories I've ever had. But by December 2025 I'd learned something important: the bigger a public server gets, the faster it drifts away from the creative, story-first style that made it worth building. So I made the call to rebuild — fully 20+, fully whitelisted, smaller and more intentional, built for experienced roleplayers who want their RP to actually mean something.

Here's what FMRP honestly is right now, no inflation: a small crew that runs a session or two every week — usually somewhere around 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern — with 4 to 7 of us on for a few hours of genuinely fun, creative RP. No grind, no economy to keep up with, nobody rushing your scene to get to a shootout. Everyone in the server knows everyone else, and when a scene lands, it lands because people put real thought into their characters and gave each other room. We're not trying to be big. Small is the feature, not a phase.

Which brings me to why this page exists. The public way in is a written application, a short interview, an open-book rules test, and a self-paced onboarding course. Your invite skips the application and the test. We only send these to people we've already done our homework on, and honestly, the application asks the same things I'd ask you in conversation anyway — this just saves you the typing. So instead of a form, you get a real conversation with me: what you're into, what you're looking for, and whether our pace is your pace. If it clicks on both sides, I set your roles up right there, send you the rules (with the test answers, so you've got them for reference), and you go straight into onboarding.

I want to be upfront about one thing, though: the invite is a shortcut past the paperwork, not past the standard. Everyone in the city — invited or not — finishes the same onboarding course and spends their first couple of hours on a light civilian probation before they start their own priorities. That's what keeps a session with seven people feeling better than a session with seventy.

And once you've got a couple of hours in the city, the LEO side is open too — not as some gauntlet, but as an academy genuinely worth taking. Real Florida procedure played straight, a CAD and dispatch system that handles the paperwork for you, and ranks that intentionally stop at Sergeant — no ladder to climb, no politics to survive, just great scenes with people who care about getting it right. The coursework is online and self-paced, and once it's done you're out on patrol — no waiting around for ride-along slots.

One more thing, since content is often how we find people in the first place: anyone can record or stream here, and we now have a full-time in-house video editor cutting videos for our creator team. If that's your world, bring it up when we talk.

If a slower, smaller, funnier kind of RP sounds like your pace, watch the video above, click through the features below, and message me on Discord — I answer everything myself, and that message is the whole first step. And if it's not for you, genuinely no hard feelings. Thanks for giving this a read either way.

No application. No pressure. Just a conversation.

Why FMRP. The Short Version.

The biggest reasons we think you'd fit — and why the people already here keep showing up.

🤝

Small on Purpose

Usually 4 to 7 of us, one or two nights a week. Everyone knows everyone, and nobody's scene gets buried under forty others.

🎭

Story Over Grind

No economy to keep up with, no paychecks to chase, nobody rushing your scene to get to a shootout. Characters and stories are the whole point.

🛠️

Built From Scratch

Hundreds of custom features — our own maps (yes, a Publix), an object spawner that builds houses mid-scene, water toys, drones, and plenty more below.

🚔

LEO Done Right

Real Florida procedure, a CAD that does the paperwork, a self-paced online academy, and ranks that stop at Sergeant. No politics — just good scenes.

🎬

Creators Welcome

Anyone can record or stream. Our creator team has a full-time in-house video editor turning sessions into videos.

🚪

Grown-Ups Only

20+ as a rule (down to 18 for exceptional people), experienced roleplayers, and the real world stays at the door. Drama-free isn't a slogan here — it's the filter.

Your Invite Skips the Line.

No written application, no rules test. A conversation, a quick course, and you're in the city.

01

Look Around

Watch the video, click through the civilian and LEO features. Get a real feel for what we've built before anyone asks anything of you.

02

Message Me

Hop in the Discord and message me directly — just mention the invite. That message is the whole first step.

03

We Talk

A relaxed voice conversation with me. It covers what the application would, just out loud. If it clicks for both of us, I set up your roles on the spot.

04

Onboard & Jump In

A self-paced onboarding course we built for FMRP (about 30 minutes), then your first sesh. Two hours of light civilian probation, and you're fully in.

Why no application? Because we already did the homework — that's how this link got to you. Everyone else applies through the whitelist, and that route isn't going anywhere. An invite just means we start with a conversation instead of a form. The standard is the same either way.

Built Different. From the Ground Up.

Two divisions. Hundreds of custom features. One vision.
